Unity, faith and discipline must be our cherished creed
Patriotism and fraternity are the gems, we must plead;
Personal preoccupations have sundered our nation
Sympathy and sacrifice are overshadowed by greed;
Bribery has hollowed the foundations of our institutions
And red tapism has slowed down their progressive speed;
Solidarity of the nation has badly cracked and shattered
And our people assemble only on the occasion of an Eid;
Verity is a wealth that can refurbish a fabricator society
Truth like beauty is a unique jewelry that can never heed;
We must preserve our valuable irrigation resources
To grow crops and to see greenery in every mead;
We can thrive by reinforcing the roots of our economy
Then every individual of the country will get his feed;
A healthy and wealthy national yield can be harvested
By growing patriots through planting salubrious seed;
Teeming millions are the pearly treasures of each nation
As rosary is fashioned, when integrated by every bead;
We must divert massive resources for education
So that every subject of the nation can easily read
Let us fortify the basis of our democratic institutions
To groom suitable leadership that can sincerely lead;
Democracy can be established on unwavering bedrock
By curbing autocracy by each of our democratic deed;
Freedom of expression is the touchstone of genuine democracy
In its scarcity, perils of feudalism and despotism rapidly breed;
We are continuously lagging much behind in the comity of nations
Peace, progress and prosperity are the jewels that we dearly need;
We are bound to safeguard sovereignty and integrity of our nation state
Whether they demand sacrifices of our lives or cause us gravely bleed.
